Deepak Handicraft

We are located at 91, GIDC Estate, right on the Kalol Highway. Being in an industrial estate means there is always something going on around us. You can hear the trucks on the highway and the sounds of other businesses nearby. It’s a practical location for what we do at Deepak Handicraft. Our space is more of a workshop than a shop. We have tools and materials scattered across the benches because we are always in the middle of making something. It’s dusty and it smells like the materials we work with, but that’s how it should be. We don’t have a fancy showroom with glass cases. Most of our work is done right here on the floor. People who come to visit us at GIDC Estate are usually looking for something specific and they don’t mind the industrial setting. We don’t spend money on big ads or polished brochures. We just let the work speak for itself. Sometimes we take a break and stand by the highway to get some air. It’s a busy life but it’s what we know. We’ve been here at number 91 for a long time and we have a routine that works. It’s not always pretty, and sometimes we’re behind on our cleaning, but the handicrafts get finished and that’s what matters most to us at the end of the day. We just keep moving forward, making one thing at a time and dealing with the orders as they come in from the highway.
