Taksheel Wooden Art Store is basically just Dhaval Suthar’s world. If you walk into our place, the first thing you’re going to notice is the smell of sawdust and maybe some wood polish. It’s not a clean showroom like the ones you see in the big malls. It’s a workshop first. Dhaval spends most of his time working with his hands, carving things or figuring out how to join two pieces of wood together so they don’t fall apart in a year. We don't really use big fancy marketing tricks because the work usually speaks for itself when someone sees it. There are tools everywhere—chisels, hammers, and bits of wood that might become something later. Sometimes we have projects that take forever because the wood doesn't want to cooperate or the design is just tricky. We deal with all sorts of wood, and each piece is different, which can be annoying but also makes it interesting. It’s just a small operation. If you’re looking for something that was made by a machine in two minutes, this isn't the place. We take our time here. It’s just Dhaval and the wood, trying to make something that looks decent and lasts. It gets dusty and loud with the sanding machines, but that is just a normal Tuesday for us. We just keep our heads down and work on whatever is on the bench that day.
