Central Government

I’m writing this from the NID campus in Gandhinagar, specifically from the P.G. wing where N. Balasubramanian handles the registrar duties. This is a government setup, so things usually go through a set of steps. We are located right here in Gujarat, 382007, and it’s a busy place with students and faculty coming in all day. Sometimes the paperwork piles up, but we just get through it one pile at a time. It isn't a fancy office with big glass walls or anything. It’s just a practical workspace where we manage the daily needs of the campus. Most of us have been here for a while and know the routine well. The weather in Gandhinagar gets pretty hot in the summer, which makes the walk across campus a bit much, but the buildings are solid and keep the heat out mostly. We don't spend much time worrying about how we look to the outside world. The name on the board says Central Government, but to us, it’s just the place where we come to work and help keep the registrar's office running smoothly. You won’t find any big speeches here about what we do. We just look at the files, deal with the requests, and try to keep things moving as best as we can. It’s a quiet life in a way, even with the students around. We take our tea breaks and get back to the desk. That’s how things go at this P.G. Campus office.
