Ratnakar Shipping Allied Services

You can find us at the Grain Merchants Association Building, Plot 297, over in Ward 12/b of Gandhidham. Ratnakar Shipping Allied Services is right near the Old Court. It’s a solid building, and we’ve been here for quite some time now. Our work mostly involves a lot of paperwork and talking to people about cargo and ships. It’s not as exciting as being out at sea, but it's what we do. The office is usually full of files and maps, and there is always a pot of tea on the go. A big corporate structure is something we never wanted. It’s just a handful of us making sure things get to the port on time. Gandhidham is a busy place for shipping, so we stay pretty active. When we talk to our clients, we don't use a lot of fancy jargon. We just tell them how it is and what needs to happen next. Sometimes the port is backed up and things get stressful, but we just keep at it. Being near the Old Court is nice because it’s a landmark everyone knows. We’ve become part of the furniture here, in a way. It’s a decent life, working with the shipping industry and keeping things moving through the docks. We aren't looking for awards, just to get the job done and maybe get home at a reasonable hour to see our families.
