Agrawal Transport Corp

We are located in Gandhidham, specifically over at Gokul Park on Tagore Road. The office is inside Agrawal House. It’s a pretty busy place because the transport business never really stops. You’ll always see trucks coming and going around this area. Kachchh is a big region to cover, but we’ve been doing these routes for a lot of years. My father actually started things out with just one old vehicle and a lot of patience. Now we have a bit more of a system going. The office has old maps pinned to the walls and lots of thick ledgers. It gets quite hot here in the afternoons, so we keep the windows open to catch any breeze we can. Most of the day is spent talking to drivers on the radio or checking their locations on the phone. We have to make sure the loads are tied down right and the timing is okay. Tagore Road is always humming with some kind of activity. We know the other transport guys around here and we often share a quick meal at the dhaba nearby. It’s not a corporate setup at all. There are chairs that squeak and a clock that’s always five minutes fast. We don’t mind it much because it feels like a real workplace. If a truck breaks down, we are the ones figuring out how to get it moving again. We just keep our heads down and do the job.
