Orbit Shipping

Orbit Shipping is our company, and we operate out of 14/20, Plaza Centre, Plot No. 117, in Sector 8 of Gandhidham. We are situated in a fairly busy part of town, which is good because it keeps us close to everything happening in the shipping world. Gandhidham is a major spot for cargo, so we are always busy with something. Our office in the Plaza Centre is where things get sorted, though it’s mostly just us sitting at desks and talking on the phone. We handle a lot of different shipping tasks, mostly making sure that all the documents are in order so things can move through the port without getting stuck. It’s a lot of back and forth with different agencies and people. The office is pretty standard, with some computers and stacks of folders that never seem to go away. We aren't a huge global corporation, just a few of us here in Kachchh doing our part. The weather here is usually pretty intense, so we appreciate the shade of the building. We don’t spend much time on fancy advertising or anything. We just focus on the clients we have and making sure their shipments are handled okay. It’s a lot of responsibility, but we’ve been doing it long enough that it’s just part of our daily life now. We just take it one day at a time and try to stay on top of the paperwork as it comes in from the docks.
