Cargo Corp

We are based at units 16 and 21 in the Swaminarayan Mandir Building in Gandhidham, Kachchh. Cargo Corp is a small operation despite the big-sounding name. We deal with cargo and shipping stuff because that is what happens in this part of Gujarat near the water. The building is right near the temple, so we hear the bells and prayers sometimes during the day. It’s a solid old building and our offices are simple rooms with basic desks and a few chairs for visitors to sit. Gandhidham is always dusty and the sun is very strong in the summer, so we have heavy curtains to keep the heat out. We spend a lot of time on the phone with drivers and people working at the port. It’s not a glamorous job at all. There is a lot of waiting for papers to be signed or for trucks to arrive at their destination. We’ve been at this address for years and we like the location. It’s easy for people to find us because everyone knows the Swaminarayan Mandir as a landmark. We have stacks of logbooks and files going back a long time in the corner. There is no air of mystery here; you can see exactly what we are doing when you walk in. We eat our lunch at our desks most days while we work. Sometimes we walk over to the nearby tea shops for a change of pace. Cargo Corp is just a bunch of people trying to keep things moving. We just show up at 16 and 21 and do the work.
