J M Transport

J M Transport is just a small place we've got here at Shop No. 29 in Paras Market. If you know Gandhidham, we are right on N H Road, pretty much across from the railway station. It's a busy spot with all the trains coming in and out all day long. We spend most of our time dealing with drivers and making sure things get where they need to go on time. It is not a fancy office or anything like that. Just some desks, a lot of paperwork, and people coming in and out asking about their shipments. We’ve been in this part of Kachchh for a while now. The dust from the road gets everywhere, but that is just how it is working in transport. Sometimes the phones don't stop ringing and other times it is quiet enough to actually grab a tea from the stall nearby. We handle a lot of local stuff and some longer trips too. Most of the guys working here have been around for years, so we know the routes pretty well. It’s hard work and the hours can be long, especially when there is a delay at the port or on the highway. We just try to keep the trucks moving and keep our heads down. It’s a simple setup at Paras Market, but it works for us and the people who use our services. We might not have the newest equipment, but we make do with what we have.
