Being located inside a residential society makes for a much quieter workday than if we were right in the middle of the city center. We’ve been here for a long time, and the office has become a bit like a second home to those of us who work here every day. It’s a modest space with several rooms that we’ve converted for our needs. We have a lot of shelves filled with files and components, and the walls have a few old calendars hanging on them. We don’t have a fancy lobby or a sleek boardroom. Most of our discussions happen over the desks or while we’re standing in the hallway. The neighborhood is nice because there are trees along the street and it’s easy to find a place to park. We usually take a break in the afternoon when the tea seller comes around or we make some in our small pantry. It’s a very local feel, and we know many of the people who live in the society. We aren't trying to impress anyone with a polished corporate image. We just care about getting the work done right and keeping our customers happy. Sometimes it gets a bit chaotic when we have a lot of orders going out at once, but we always manage to get through the day. It’s just how we operate.
