Lakshmeshwar Farmer Producer Company Limited

We are down here on Someshwar Temple Road in Lakshmeshwar. It’s a busy spot in Gadag and mostly we spend our time talking to the farmers from the surrounding fields. This producer company started because we needed a place to organize things better for everyone involved. The office is right there in Hulageribanalaxmeshwar. It isn't a fancy setup, just some desks, a few chairs, and a lot of old registers piled up. We deal with the local crops and try to figure out the market prices every morning. Some days are slow and quiet, while others we have people coming in all day from the nearby villages. It gets quite hot here in the afternoons but the temple road usually has some activity to keep things interesting. We are just a group of people trying to manage the harvest side of things. Most of us grew up around here so we know the land and the weather pretty well. There is no big corporate office or anything like that, just us working from this address in Gadag. We handle the seeds and the messy paperwork that comes with being a farmer producer company. Sometimes the electricity goes out and we just sit and talk until it comes back on. It’s a local effort through and through. Nothing too complicated about it. We just show up and do what needs doing for the day and the season.
