Bellary Cement Product Industry

We operate out of the KIDB Industrial Area in Narsapur, specifically at plot number 8. Being in an industrial zone means it’s always loud and there is always something moving. We make different things out of cement here, so there are molds and mixers everywhere you look. The ground is almost always grey from the wet concrete and the dust. It is hard work that leaves you tired by the end of the shift. We don't have a showroom or anything like that. If you come to see us, you’re walking right into where the work happens. There are stacks of finished products waiting to be shipped out to various construction sites. We have a small crew and everyone knows their job. Some of us have been here since we started, and we just get on with it. The sun beats down on the corrugated metal roofs, making it pretty warm inside during the summer months. We deal with heavy machinery and large quantities of raw materials every single day. It’s not a glamorous business, but it’s what keeps the buildings going up in this region. We spend our breaks sitting outside in whatever shade we can find, watching the other factories in the area do their thing. It is a simple life centered around the yard and the heavy smell of wet cement.
