Taj Marbles

Our place is out on the Malout Bypass Road, right next to the Go Gas Pump. It’s easy to find if you’re heading towards Guru Nanak Khalsa College. We’re in the Abohar area, which is a good spot for a marble yard. We have plenty of space out here for the heavy slabs. The wind blows across the bypass and carries the dust away, which is nice. We spend a lot of time out in the sun, moving pieces around and showing people what we have in stock. It’s mostly just us and the trucks coming and going. The gas pump next door is always busy, so there’s a lot of activity nearby. We keep the yard open even when it’s hot. People stop in after seeing the college or while they’re driving through the village. We don’t use any fancy sales talk. If someone likes a piece of marble, they buy it. We just make sure the measurements are right and the stone is loaded safely. There are rows and rows of different types of stone sitting out there. Some have been there for a bit, others go out as soon as they arrive. It’s a straightforward way to make a living. We know the roads around here well. Sometimes the rain makes the ground a bit muddy, but we keep working through it. It's just a normal day-to-day routine for us.
