Jks Sen.Sec.School

We’ve been here in Guruharsahai for quite a while now. Jks Sen.Sec.School is just a normal place where kids come every morning to sit in their classrooms and listen to teachers talk. Most days it’s pretty noisy in the hallways during the breaks between classes. You can hear the fans whirring and the sounds from the street outside Ghs. We have desks that have seen better days but they work just fine for writing. Ferozepur gets hot in the summer, so we try to keep things moving as best as we can. Our staff shows up early to open the gates. Some of the older students stay late to finish their work or just hang out near the entrance. It is a simple building with white walls and a lot of stairs. Parents drop their kids off on their way to work. We don't have fancy stuff, just books and blackboards and people trying to get through the syllabus. Sometimes the printer jams when we are trying to make copies of test papers, which is a bit of a headache for everyone. But that is just how things go here in our part of town. The school day ends, the kids go home, and we lock up. It’s a basic routine that keeps us busy from Monday to Saturday. Most of us have lived in this area for years, so we know the families around here pretty well.
