Himank Citrous Private Limited is based out of the same spot on Ganganagar Road, right at H.No-214 near the Mohinder Cold Store. Since we are in Abohar, we focus heavily on the citrus fruits that grow so well in this part of Punjab. The kinnow season is the busiest time for us. During those months, we hardly get any sleep. There are piles of fruit everywhere, and the smell of citrus is all over the place. Our office is just a room in the house where we keep the ledgers. We don't have a fancy website or a sales team. Most of our business comes from people we have known for years in the Firozpur district. We spend our days checking the trees and talking to the laborers. The Ganganagar Road is always loud with traffic, and we are right in the middle of it. When the machines in the cold store are running, you can hear the hum from our porch. It’s a very practical life. We have to deal with pests, water issues, and the market going up and down. We don't use big words to describe what we do. We just grow and move citrus. It’s a lot of sweat and long hours, but that’s the nature of agriculture in Abohar. We just try to get the fruit packed and sent out before it spoils.
