Shree K D Sweets

Our place, Shree K D Sweets, is located right at Plot No 1 in Unchagaon, Ballabgarh. We spend most of our mornings in the back preparing the batches. It gets pretty hot in there with the large vats going, but that is just how it is. We make different kinds of sweets throughout the day. People usually stop by on their way home to pick up a box for their families. Since we are right here in Ballabgarh, we see a lot of the same faces every single day. Some people just come in for a quick snack while others are buying stuff for a party or a wedding. The glass display cases get smudged with fingerprints constantly, so we keep a cloth handy to clean them. We don't have any fancy machines; most of what we do is by hand. It takes time to get the consistency right, and sometimes a batch doesn't turn out perfect, but we try our best. The floor gets a bit sticky from the sugar syrup by the end of the shift. I usually stay late to make sure everything is washed and ready for the next morning. It’s a simple setup we have here. We don't do any big advertising or anything like that. People just know we are here at the corner of Unchagaon. It's a busy area and there is always noise from the street outside, but we are used to it by now. We just keep working.
