H. K. Exports

S.C.F. 69 in Sector 16a is where we spend most of our lives. H. K. Exports has been here for a good while now. Sector 16a is one of those areas that feels established, and being in an S.C.F. (Shop-cum-Flat) means we have a bit of a traditional layout. The ground floor is usually where the heavy lifting happens, and the upper part is for the paperwork. It’s a functional building. The walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint, but we haven’t found the time to stop working long enough to do it. We deal with exports, which sounds fancy, but it really just involves a lot of checking lists and making sure the packing tape holds. There’s a small tea stall nearby where we get our morning drinks, and that’s usually the highlight of the day before the emails and phone calls start. We don’t have a philosophy or a grand vision. We just try to get the orders out on time without making too many mistakes. It’s a practical business run by people who aren't afraid to get their hands dirty. Sometimes the air conditioner makes a weird rattling noise, and the desk chairs are a bit old, but the work gets done. That’s all that really matters to us at the end of the day. We like the quiet afternoons when the phones stop ringing for a bit.
