Saraswati Marble

Saraswati Marble is tucked away in the Mani Marble Market at Bss No-70. It is a whole market dedicated to stone and marble, so we are surrounded by other businesses doing similar things. We have been here for a good while. Our space is filled with heavy slabs of marble and granite. It is a heavy job, moving these stones around. We don't have a fancy showroom with air conditioning. It is just a big open space where the stones are kept. You have to walk around and see the patterns in the natural light. We spend most of our time talking to contractors and people building their own homes. The market can be a bit chaotic with all the cranes and trucks, but we are used to it. We just focus on our own stocks and making sure we have what people need. We don't use much technology here. We write things down in our registers and keep track of everything the old-fashioned way. It is honest work. The dust from the stone cutting is everywhere, so we are always cleaning up. People come to us because they know where we are in the market. We don't do big ads. We just wait for customers to come by and then we show them the different types of marble we have in stock at the moment. It’s a steady life.
