R K Crane Service has its yard over at Plot No 44/A on Street No 7 in Anand Parbat. If you know this area, you know how tight the streets can get around here, so moving cranes in and out takes a bit of patience. We've been operating out of this plot for quite a few years now. It’s a practical setup, nothing too grand, just a place to park the equipment and keep the tools locked up. Most of the work happens out on site anyway, so we don't spend all day sitting in the yard. We get calls for all sorts of lifting jobs around Delhi. It might be some heavy machinery for a factory or shifting materials for a small building project. We just take it as it comes. The guys who work here have been doing this a long time and they know the cranes inside and out. It’s a noisy neighborhood with all the workshops nearby, but it feels right for the kind of work we do. Being in Anand Parbat means we’re pretty central for getting to different parts of the city quickly, as long as the traffic isn't at a complete standstill. We don't have a big front desk or a secretary, usually, it’s just one of us answering the phone while working on something else. We keep things simple and just focus on getting the crane to where it needs to be.
