Our shop is Pyare Lal Parbhudayal and you can find us at Purani Subzi Mandi. We are right near the Ghanta Ghar and the Aggarsain Chowk in Ballabgarh. It is a very old part of Faridabad. The streets around here are narrow and always full of cycles and people rushing somewhere. We have been running this place for a long time. It’s named after the family, so we take it seriously even if it’s just a simple store. We sell a bit of everything that a household might need. The building is old and has that specific smell of spices and paper. We don’t have a website or any fancy computers here. Everything is done the old way with notebooks and pens. Sometimes the power goes out and we just use the natural light coming in from the front door. Faridabad - 121004 is the area code but most locals just look for the big clock tower to find their way to us. It gets very crowded on the weekends especially when everyone comes to the mandi for their weekly shopping. We stay open late most nights because that is when the workers come home and need to pick up supplies. It’s a busy life but it’s what we know. The shelves go all the way to the ceiling so we have to use a wooden ladder to reach the top items. It is just a plain, honest business.
