Presently Not Working

I’ve been based at C 17 in Nehru Ground for a while now. This part of Faridabad, NIT, is pretty old and has a lot of character. It’s mostly commercial buildings and shops around here, so there is always noise from the street. People shouting, horns honking, and the sound of shutters going up and down. My place is simple, just a room with enough space for my things. I don’t really have customers coming in and out, so I don’t worry too much about how the place looks to outsiders. The walls have some scuffs and the floor is that old-fashioned stone that stays cool in the summer. Presently Not Working is just the name I went with when I decided to do my own thing. It makes sense to me, even if it sounds a bit lazy to everyone else. I usually get here around ten and stay until the sun goes down. There’s a small eatery nearby that makes great tea, so I’m there at least twice a day. It’s not a corporate lifestyle by any means. I handle my own mail, do my own cleaning, and manage the daily chores myself. It’s a bit messy sometimes, with papers scattered around and old pens that don't work, but it’s my space. I like the independence of being here in the middle of the NIT bustle without actually being part of it. It’s just a humble setup for a daily routine.
