You can find us at Plot 47 in Nawada Colony, right down Gali Number 2. We're pretty close to the Bharat Gas Agency, so that's usually the easiest way to find us if you're lost. We’ve been making and packing spices here for quite some time. The air usually smells like turmeric or chili, depending on what we’re grinding that day. It gets in your clothes and stays there. The place isn't huge, just a regular space where we do the work. We have a few machines that can be a bit loud when they're all running at once. My hands are usually stained yellow from the spices, which is just part of the job. We don’t have a fancy showroom or anything like that. It’s mostly just us working through the piles of raw ingredients and getting them into bags. Sometimes the power goes out and we have to sit and wait, but otherwise, we’re busy from morning until evening. It’s a family-style environment, where everyone knows what needs to be done. We don't spend money on big ads, we just focus on the bags we fill every day. It’s honest work and it’s what we know how to do. If you walk down the lane, you’ll likely hear the sound of the grinders long before you see the gate. It is a noisy job, but someone has to do it. We try to keep the place clean, but dust is just part of the spice trade.
