Poonam Engineers

Our shop is at Plot No 301 in Gali No 1 of the New Industrial Town. We are over in the Sarai Khawaja area, right near Geeta Public School. It’s a busy little street. During the day, you can hear the kids at the school and then the sound of our lathes and drills going at the same time. We are Poonam Engineers, though we aren't a big corporation. It’s a small engineering unit where we fix things and make parts. There is usually grease on our hands and metal shavings on our shoes. The shop is a bit cramped because we have a lot of tools packed into the space. We’ve been here for years, and the walls are covered in calendars and old notes. Sometimes the electricity acts up, so we have to stop and wait, which gives us time for a quick smoke or a cup of tea. We don't have a sales team. If you want something, you just come to the gate and ask. Most of our work comes from people nearby who know we can handle the repairs they need. It’s a gritty, noisy life in New Industrial Town, but it’s what we know. We aren't trying to change the world, just trying to make sure the parts we turn out are solid and the customers are satisfied enough to come back.
