B. D. Engineering Works

Down in E-143/1 Dabua Colony Nit, things stay pretty busy. B. D. Engineering Works is the name on the board, though most folks around here just know us as the guys who work with the loud machines. Dabua Colony isn't the quietest place in the world to begin with, and our workshop adds its own rhythm to the street. We’ve got lathes and some older equipment that still runs better than the new stuff if you treat it right. Metal shavings end up in our shoes every single day, no matter how much we sweep. It's the kind of place where your hands stay black from oil even after you've scrubbed them three times. We handle various bits of engineering work, mostly small parts or fixing things that broke elsewhere. There isn't any fancy corporate structure here. If a problem comes up, we stand around the workbench and figure it out together. The light in the shop isn't great in the back corners, so we use some old desk lamps to see what we're doing. It gets hot in the summer, really hot, so we keep the big door open and hope for a breeze. People stop by to ask for advice or just to borrow a wrench for five minutes. We don’t mind. It's a community feeling, and we've been at this address for a long time now. Just doing the work that needs doing every day for the people who come by.
