We operate out of Friends Colony in Hodal. It's actually a house, number 513 in Ward 3. My father, Mool Chand, started things off and now we just keep it going. It’s a bit of a workspace mixed with where we live. You’ll see tools and parts scattered around the yard sometimes. Faridabad is a big industrial area but we are out here in the colony. It’s quieter. We do a lot of engineering work, mostly small jobs that people bring in. The machines are old but they still run fine if you know how to talk to them. It gets pretty loud when we are in the middle of a project. The neighbors don't seem to mind too much though. We’ve been here a long time. It’s not a shiny factory. Just a place where we get our hands dirty. Sometimes the power goes out and we have to wait it out with some chai. We aren't trying to be the biggest company around. We just want to do the work right so it stays fixed. If you come by, you’ll probably see me or one of the guys working in the shed. We don't have a front desk or a secretary. You just walk up and talk to whoever is holding a wrench. That’s how we’ve always done it. It’s honest work and it keeps us busy. Hodal is a good place to be based. Everyone knows everyone else in Ward 3. We are just regular people.
