Down in Sector 9, at C-36, you’ll find my small shop, Nova Communication. It’s not much to look at from the outside, just a simple counter and some glass cases with a few phones and chargers. I spend most of my day sitting there, waiting for someone to come in needing a new SIM card or a screen repair. Sector 9 is a decent area, but it gets a bit quiet in the middle of the day when everyone is at work. I do a lot of recharges and bill payments for people who aren't comfortable doing it on their own phones. It can be frustrating when the internet is slow and I can’t process a payment, and the customer is standing there waiting. My hands are always busy with those tiny screws from the back of mobile phones, and I’ve probably dropped more than I can count on the floor. The shop gets a bit dusty because the door is usually open to let some air in, as the AC is old and barely works. I’ve lived in this part of town for years, so I know most of the people who walk past the window. It’s not a big corporate store, just a local spot where you can get your phone looked at without a lot of fuss. I just try to get through the repairs one by one and close up shop by eight so I can go home.
