Nathu Crane Service

We’ve been here at Plot No. 20/3 in the Norden Indian Complex for quite a while now. Most people know us because we’re right on Mathura Road, which stays busy pretty much all day and night. Running a crane service isn’t really glamorous work, to be honest. It’s mostly about getting grease on your clothes and making sure the machines are actually running when someone calls. We spend a lot of time just checking the engines and cables. Sometimes the yard gets a bit messy with parts and oil cans, but that is just how it goes when you are dealing with heavy iron. Our guys are usually out on some site or other, so the office is quiet until the drivers come back for tea. It’s a lot of waiting for the phone to ring and then rushing out to move something heavy that’s stuck or needs to go up high. We don't have fancy brochures or anything like that. People just know where we are if they need a lift. The weather here can be rough on the equipment, especially when it’s dusty, so there is always a lot of cleaning to do. We just keep at it every day, making sure the old cranes stay reliable. It’s simple work, really. We’ve seen the area around Mathura Road change a lot over the years, but we’re still here in the same spot, just doing what we know how to do.
