Lecture

Our place is at 2322/7A, right near the Milan area in Faridabad. If you know where Milan is, we are just a short walk from there. It’s a busy neighborhood in Haryana, always something going on outside the door. You’ll hear scooters zooming by and people shouting to each other across the street all day long. We’ve been here for a couple of years now. When we first moved in, the walls were a terrible shade of yellow, so we painted them a light grey ourselves. It didn’t turn out perfect, but it looks better than it did. We call ourselves Lecture, and mostly we just focus on getting through the tasks we have for the week. There is a small tea stall just outside where we get our morning fix. The guy there knows exactly how much sugar we like. Inside, it’s mostly just stacks of files and a few old chairs that we probably should have replaced by now. We don't have any fancy signs or big posters on the walls. It’s just a practical space for us to get work done without being bothered. Sometimes it gets a bit crowded when everyone is here at once, but we make it work. We like being in this part of Faridabad because everything we need is within walking distance. It’s not a shiny corporate office, but it feels like ours and that is enough for us.
