Kalbro Manufacturing Co has its place at B-8 in Faridabad N I T. It’s a solid building that’s seen a lot of years. We do a lot of the heavy lifting here, literally and figuratively. The machines are old but they still run well enough if you know how to talk to them. I started here a long time ago and I know where every tool is kept. The floor is concrete and stays cool even when the sun is hitting the roof hard. We make parts and handle a lot of metal work. It’s greasy and loud, but that is just how a factory is. People come and go, but the core group of us has stayed the same. We take our breaks together and talk about the news or the weather. There is always a lot of paperwork to deal with, which I don't really like. I prefer being out there with the machines. We follow the schedules as best as we can. Sometimes the materials don't show up on time and it throws everything off. We just find something else to clean or fix while we wait. The location is good for getting things shipped out. We don't really have a front office, just a small desk near the entrance. It is a no-frills kind of setup. We just do the manufacturing and keep things moving along. There’s a small tea stall just around the corner where we get our morning chai. It’s a simple routine that keeps the day going. We don’t mind the hard work.
