K N Engineering Works

The shop is at Plot No. 2 in the New Dlf Industrial Area over in Faridabad. If you know the 121003 area, you know it is mostly factories and workshops like ours. K N Engineering Works has been operating out of this spot for a while. It gets pretty hot in the summer here in Haryana, but we just keep the fans going and stay on top of the tasks. The plot is a decent size for the machines we have running. There is always the sound of metal or something being worked on in the background. We usually have a lot of grease on our hands by noon. It's not a quiet place, but it's productive. Being in an industrial area means there are trucks moving in and out all day long. We have neighbors doing similar work, so we often share a bit of news or help each other out with small things. It's a practical setup. No one wears suits here. We just wear what is comfortable for getting dirty and doing the actual work. K N Engineering Works is basically just us guys making sure the orders are handled. We don't spend much time on the office stuff if we can help it. The floor is where everything happens. Faridabad is a tough place for traffic, so we try to get things shipped out before the evening rush starts on the main roads. It's a living.
