You’ll find Jitendera Mobile Repairs right in the middle of Paharganj at 2390/2, Chuna Mandi, on Tilak Street. It is a tiny shop, but we have everything we need to fix phones. There are screwdrivers, soldering irons, and tiny parts scattered across the workbench. I spend most of my day hunched over a magnifying lamp trying to see the small circuits inside a customer's phone. It can be hard on the eyes after a few hours. The street outside is always noisy with tourists and local shoppers, but inside, I try to keep it focused. Sometimes people come in with phones that have been dropped in water or have cracked screens, and I just tell them honestly if it can be fixed or not. I don't see the point in lying about it. My brother helps out when things get really crowded, especially on weekends when everyone seems to break their phone at once. We have drawers full of old screens and batteries that we keep for spare parts. The shop isn't much to look at, just a counter and some shelves, but we know where everything is. It’s a cramped space and the fan makes a bit of a clicking sound, but it gets us through the day. We’ve been on Tilak Street for years and plan to stay here as long as people keep dropping their phones. It is just simple work done by hand every single day.
