J C Engineering Works

J C Engineering Works is located right off Mathura Road at 31, 20/2 in the Smie-I area. It’s an industrial part of town, so things can get pretty greasy and loud around here, but that is just the nature of engineering. We’ve got machines running most of the time. My staff and I have been at this for a good bit of time now. We aren't doing anything revolutionary, just solid shop work on whatever parts come through the door. The floor is usually covered in metal shavings by noon, and we spend a lot of time measuring things twice to make sure they fit right. It’s honest work. Sometimes a machine breaks down and we spend the whole afternoon fixing it ourselves instead of getting work done, but that's how it goes in a shop like this. We aren't a big corporation with suits; we’re just guys in work shirts. Being near the main road helps with getting stuff delivered, though the dust from the street gets in everything if we leave the big doors open too long. People know where to find us when they need something turned or welded properly. We just focus on the job at hand and try to get it finished so the customer can pick it up. It’s a simple way to make a living, and it keeps us busy enough for now.
