Vimal Paints

Our place is at Plot No. 1 in the Dhiraj Nagar Industrial Area. Being the first plot, we see everyone coming into the zone. Vimal Paints is basically a warehouse and a small mixing area where we keep hundreds of cans of paint and thinners. The floor is covered in drips of every color you can think of, and the smell is quite strong once you step inside. We spend the day moving heavy buckets around and making sure the labels are correct. It’s a lot of physical work and my clothes usually have some white or yellow smudges on them by the end of the shift. Contractors and local painters come by to pick up what they need for their jobs. We don't have a fancy showroom with lights and displays; it’s more of a practical workspace where we get things done. The industrial area can be quite loud with the other factories nearby, but we’ve gotten used to the noise over the years. When it gets quiet in the late afternoon, we try to reorganize the shelves, though they always seem to get messy again by the next morning. It’s not the most glamorous job in the world, but people always need paint, so we stay busy enough. We just focus on keeping the stock levels right and getting the orders loaded onto the tempos without making too much of a mess.
