Hindustan Road Carriers

Our place is located at Plot No 17/6 in Sarpanch Colony right off Mathura Road. Being near the main highway means we see a lot of traffic passing by all day and night. It is a convenient spot for the trucks to pull in when they are coming off the long haul. The colony itself is a bit quieter than the main road but there is still plenty of activity. We have a decent sized yard where the carriers park up and wait for their next assignment. The office is just a simple building on the plot with some basic furniture and a lot of filing cabinets. We keep track of everything manually for the most part because it feels more reliable that way. There is usually a stray dog or two hanging around the gate looking for a scrap of food from the drivers' lunches. We have been here for a good while and the locals know us by name. The work is mostly about timing and making sure the drivers have what they need before they set off again. It can get hot in the summer without much shade in the yard but we just keep the fans going inside. We aren't trying to be anything special we are just a road carrier business doing the daily grind. Every evening we lock up the gate and get ready to do it all over again the next morning.
