Hemant Engineers

Our workshop is at 917 in Gandhi Colony, which is right off ITI Road. It’s a good location for us because it’s close to a lot of other technical shops and suppliers. We’ve been running this engineering business for a long time. It’s not a clean or quiet place. There is always the sound of a lathe running or someone grinding metal. We do a lot of small-scale fabrication and repair work. People bring us parts that have worn out and we try to make them new again or build a replacement. Our hands are usually covered in grease by ten in the morning. We don't have a big office or a fancy waiting room for customers. Most people just walk right into the shop and talk to us while we’re working. We have a few older machines that we’ve kept in good shape because they still do the job better than the new ones. It’s just a handful of us here, and we all know how to handle the tools. We don’t bother with big slogans or promotional stuff. We just focus on the measurements and making sure the metal is cut right. Sometimes a job takes longer than we thought, and we stay late to finish it. That’s just the nature of this kind of work. We’ve been part of the neighborhood for years and we like being the place people go when they need something fixed properly.
