Harit Rasayan

Down in Sonia Vihar Main Market, things move very fast every day. We are located on 35 Foota Road, near the 3rd Pusta Road crossing. Harit Rasayan has been in this particular spot for a good while now. It is a busy corner of the market where trucks and rickshaws are always passing by. We deal with various chemicals and supplies, so the shop has a very specific smell to it. It is not a bad smell, just a strong one that sticks to your clothes. We have bags and plastic containers piled up high to save space. The walls are a bit faded from the sun. It is a practical place meant for working, not for looking pretty. We do not spend much time worrying about the decor. The 35 Foota Road gets extremely dusty during the summer months. We have to sweep the front of the shop many times a day just to keep it decent. We know all the other shopkeepers around here. We often share tea and talk about the weather or the local news. It is a very local way of living. People come in asking for things for their small businesses or for their homes. We find what they need on the shelves. Sometimes the handwriting on our old labels is a bit messy, but we know exactly where everything is kept. We just keep the doors open and wait for the next person to walk in.
