Our place is located right in front of the bus stand in the Hodla area of Palwal. It’s a very noisy spot because the buses are always coming and going at all hours. You can hear the conductors shouting and the loud engines idling out there all day long. Being near the transport hub makes it easy for people to find us, though, which is a good thing. We spend most of our time inside the office handling the daily paperwork and talking to people who stop by for business. The building is a bit older, but it serves its purpose well enough for what we do. Working here means you get used to the dust blowing in from the main road. We usually have the ceiling fans going at full speed during the summer months just to stay cool. There’s a small tea stall just a few steps away where we usually get our morning chai. It’s a practical location for the work we do. Most of the staff comes in from different parts of Palwal or the surrounding villages. Sometimes the traffic near the bus stand gets really backed up, which can be a bit of a headache when we are trying to leave in the evenings. We just keep our heads down and get through the tasks. The office doesn't have any big signs or flashy lights. It’s just a regular workplace where things happen at a steady, quiet pace. We’ve been at this Hodla location for some time now.
