Gulshan Engineering Works

We've been at Sector 18 in Baba Nagar for a long time now. It’s a busy area and we keep ourselves busy too. Mostly we deal with engineering jobs and metal work that comes our way. The shop isn't fancy, just a place where things get made or fixed. I usually open up early because there’s always something waiting. People around here know the spot. We have some older machines that still run great, and we've added a few newer ones over the years. It gets loud in here when the work is in full swing, but that’s just part of the job. Some days are just about cutting parts to size, other days we’re trying to figure out why a piece isn't fitting right. We don't spend much time talking about business strategies or anything like that. We just focus on what’s on the bench. The floor is usually covered in metal shavings by noon. It's dusty and it gets hot in the summer, especially with the machines running all day. My hands are usually greasy, so I don't use the computer much. We just write things down in a ledger and keep track of orders that way. If someone needs something done, they usually just walk in and show us a drawing or an old part. We try to get it done when we say we will, though sometimes materials take a bit longer to arrive. It’s just us working here, trying to get things right for the folks who drop by. We often have to work late on Saturdays to finish up the week's tasks. There's always a bit of tea around, and we take short breaks to talk to the delivery guys who bring in the raw steel. It's a steady life.
