We have been at this spot in the Suraj Kund Gurukul Industrial Zone for a while now. If you have ever tried to find A 7 in Sarai Khwaja, you know it is not exactly the easiest place to navigate when the trucks are blocking the lanes. Our office isn't anything fancy, just a few long tables covered in sketches and half-finished projects. Most days, it is pretty loud outside because of the other workshops nearby, but we’ve gotten used to the noise. There is a small tea stall just down the road where we usually end up around four o’clock to get away from the computer screens for a bit. We spend a lot of time arguing over measurements and how to make things actually fit together in the real world instead of just on a monitor. Sometimes the power cuts out and we just sit around talking until the generator kicks in. It is mostly just us trying to keep up with the deadlines and making sure the printers do not jam again. The walls are a bit dusty because of the industrial area, but it feels like home now. We do not have a receptionist or a big lobby, so if you drop by, you will probably just see us huddled over some blueprints or drinking water out of those big blue jugs. It is what it is, a practical space for practical work.
