Durga Engineers

Durga Engineers is located in Village Daulatabad, specifically at 163. We’ve been operating out of this part of NIT Faridabad for quite some time. It's more of a workshop than an office. We have machines running most of the day. It gets loud. Most of our work involves metal and repairs for local machinery. It’s dirty work, honestly. Grease everywhere and the smell of cutting oil. But that's what engineering is in a place like this. We don't wear suits. We wear overalls that never quite get clean in the wash. My father started this place, and I just sort of took over when I got older. We have a few guys from the village who work with us. They're good workers. We don't have a big sign out front, just the address and the name painted on the gate. People find us by word of mouth mostly. If a pump breaks or a part snaps, they bring it here. We see if we can fix it or if we have to make a new one. It's not fancy. The floor is concrete and there are scraps of iron in the corner. That’s just how we do things. We keep the machines maintained and we get the jobs done when they come in. Sometimes the power goes out and we have to sit around and wait, but that is just part of working in Daulatabad. We get by.
