Competent Forging Ltd

We’ve got our place, Competent Forging Ltd, at 178 in Sector 24. It’s a heavy industrial spot, as you might expect for a forging business. The hammers make a lot of noise and you can feel the vibrations in the floor when they’re running. It’s hot work, especially when the furnaces are going. We’ve all got thick gloves and heavy boots. It’s not the kind of place you’d wear a suit to. We’ve been at this location for many years. The building is made of corrugated metal and brick, and it’s seen a lot of use. We don't have a big marketing department or any fancy brochures. We just focus on the metal. There’s a small office near the front gate where we keep the logs and the ledgers. It’s usually covered in a fine layer of dust, no matter how much we wipe it down. We have about ten guys working here in shifts. Most of them have been with us for a long time and know exactly what they’re doing. We don’t really do big meetings. We just talk on the floor over the noise of the machines. Life here at 178 is pretty basic. We work hard, we finish the orders, and we make sure the equipment is maintained. Sector 24 is a tough area, but it’s where we belong. We’re just a bunch of people who know how to work with heat and steel every single day.
