B & B Refractory & Minerals is based in Ballabhgarh Friends Colony, along Sohna Road 120. This business is all about heavy materials and industrial supplies, so it’s not the cleanest place to work. We deal with minerals and refractory bricks that are used in high-temperature furnaces. There’s often a fine layer of dust on everything, and the staff wears heavy boots and work clothes all day long. The yard is usually full of bags of raw materials waiting to be processed or shipped out. We’ve been at this location for a good while, and the neighborhood has grown up around us. Friends Colony is a mix of industrial and residential, so we try to keep the noise down during the early hours. Our office is a simple room with a couple of calendars on the wall and a heavy safe for the documents. We don’t use a lot of fancy technology; a lot of our work is still done by hand or with basic machinery. The trucks that come to collect the minerals have to navigate the narrow entrance, which is always a bit of a challenge. We have a loyal group of workers who know the materials inside and out. It’s a specialty business, and we’ve learned through trial and error over the years. We don't have a big mission statement, we just provide the materials that the local industries need to keep their fires burning every day.
