Prakash Concrete Udyog

Being right on National Highway 2 in Ashok Nagar makes things very loud. We are located in Basapur, right near the bus stop, so there’s always people standing around waiting for their ride while we’re working with the concrete. You can’t miss us if you’re driving down the highway. We handle a lot of concrete work here at the Udyog. It’s a lot of manual labor, pouring molds and moving finished pieces around the yard. The trucks are constantly coming and going, either bringing us materials or taking finished stuff to construction sites. It gets very dusty, especially when the wind blows off the main road. We have a small office where we keep the records, but mostly we’re outside. The sun can be brutal in the middle of the day, so we try to get the heaviest stuff done early. It’s a straightforward business. We don’t have any fancy brochures or anything. If someone needs concrete poles or blocks, they just pull over at the bus stop and walk into the yard to talk to us. We’ve been part of the Basapur community for a while now. Some days the highway is jammed up with traffic for miles, and we just watch it from the gate while we have our tea. It’s just us, the concrete, and the sound of the vehicles passing by. We don't mind the noise much anymore; it's just part of the day's work here on the edge of the highway.
