Homespun Producer Company Limited is situated over in Kukawali, Jaswantnagar, specifically at Banshidhar’s location. The name sounds a bit traditional, and that is mostly because we are. We handle things in a very local way without much fuss. Jaswantnagar is a decent place for this kind of work, and being at Kukawali means we are right in the thick of the fields. Most of our days are spent checking on the progress of the crops or making sure the storage is dry. We started this because doing everything solo was getting too expensive and difficult. Now, we share the load a bit more. It’s not a big operation with a lot of staff, just us and some people from the village who know how to work the ground. We have our fair share of arguments about when to plant or which fertilizer is better this year, but we always figure it out. It’s just real life, nothing like what you see in those shiny magazines. The dust gets on your clothes and the sun burns your neck, but when the crop is good, it feels worth it. We just keep our heads down and do the work that needs doing. That is the way Banshidhar likes it and that is how we operate every single day of the week. It’s not much, but it’s our life here and we stay busy with it.
