Sri Vengateswara Stores

Out on 58A Karur Main Road in Vellakoil, you’ll find us. Sri Vengateswara Stores has been a fixture here for a while. We aren't a big chain store with matching uniforms or anything like that. It’s just a place to buy your provisions and get on with your day. The traffic on Karur Main Road can be loud, but we’ve gotten used to it over the years. Inside, it’s mostly just rows of stuff that people use every day. We try to keep things where they belong, but sometimes things get shuffled around when we’re busy. We handle all the heavy lifting ourselves, from moving bags of rice to stocking the shelves. It’s tiring work, but it keeps us busy. Most days are pretty much the same, which is fine by us. We see a lot of familiar faces, and we know who likes what. If we don’t have something, we try to get it in the next order. We don't use any fancy systems, just a notebook and some common sense. The shop isn't perfect—the door squeaks a bit when it's humid out, and the floor could use a scrub more often—but it’s an honest place. We’re just here to provide what we can to the folks living around Vellakoil. No more and no less than that.
