Sri Dharshini Garments Private Limited is tucked away at 536/6A in Merkhala Thottam North. This is in the Balaji Nagar area of Boyampalalyam, under the Pooluva Patti Post. If you are familiar with Tiruppur, you know this side of town is where a lot of the real work happens. We have a decent-sized space here where we handle all the garment production. It’s not the kind of place with air conditioning in every room, mostly just big windows and a lot of ceiling fans. We deal with a lot of cotton and different types of stitching work. Every day is pretty much the same routine. We get in early, check what needs to be sewn, and get the machines started. There is a lot of chatter among the workers, mostly talking about local news or what they had for lunch. We don’t have any fancy mission statements on the walls. We just want to get the orders finished so they can be sent out on time. Sometimes the fabric doesn't arrive when it's supposed to, which causes a bit of a headache, but we manage. The Thottam area is quiet enough compared to the main city center, which is nice. We have some trees around the building that give a bit of shade. It's a straightforward setup. We do the work, we pay the bills, and we come back the next day to do it again. It's just a regular garment factory.
