You can find Genuine Computers & Technologies over at 290 Brough Road. We are directly across from the Sales Tax Office, which makes it pretty easy for anyone to find us even if they aren't familiar with this part of the city. The office is a basic space where we spend our hours looking at circuits and trying to get slow computers to run a bit faster. It’s a lot of manual work and sometimes our hands get pretty dirty from the old hardware. We have been on Brough Road for quite a while now. The traffic outside is almost always loud because of the government offices nearby, but we are used to the noise by now. We don't have a marketing team or anything like that. It is just a few of us here making sure the tech works like it is supposed to. Sometimes we have a lot of laptops lined up on the counter waiting for their owners to pick them up. We try to keep things simple and talk to people in plain English about what is wrong with their gear. No fancy talk, just fixing things. The shop gets a bit hot in the summer, but the fans keep us going. It is a steady life here and we enjoy meeting the different people who walk through the door with their broken screens or dead batteries. We stay busy.
