Quality Incharge

Our spot is on Mariamman Kovil Street, numbers 32 and 34, over in Karattoor. That’s in Gobichettipalayam, which most people around here just call Gobi. It’s in the Erode district of Tamil Nadu. We handle quality incharge duties here at the office. The street is named after the temple, so it's a very busy place during festivals with crowds and music. Our building is a simple one, right there in the middle of the local life and shops. We don't have any big corporate signs or logos, just the work we do every day. It’s a lot of paperwork and checking on the production side of things to keep everything moving. The heat in Erode can be quite something in the summer, so we try to get most of the heavy work done early in the morning before it gets too hot to think. We’ve been at this Karattoor address for many years now. Most of the people working here are from the nearby villages and have been with us for a long time. We aren't doing anything revolutionary or world-changing; we just make sure the quality of the product stays where it’s supposed to stay. It’s a lot of routine, but it's important for the local business to keep going. We take our breaks at the small tea shop around the corner where we talk about the news. It’s a plain, honest way to earn a living in a quiet town. If you visit, you’ll see we are just a small group of people trying to do our part.
