This location is the V P Ware House on Chennimalai Road in Kangeyam. It’s out in the Erode district, and the site is S F No 76 2. If you know this area, you know it’s a lot of warehouses and transport businesses. Finolex Industries Limited uses this space for storage and distribution, so it’s a lot of physical work. There’s always a layer of dust on everything because of the trucks coming and going. It’s not a place for suits and ties. We’re usually in boots and rough clothes, checking the inventory and making sure the loaders are putting the right pipes on the trucks. The sun gets really hot on the tin roof during the middle of the day, so we usually take a longer break then. It’s a noisy place with the sound of engines and people shouting instructions. We have a small cabin in the corner where we keep the ledger and the computer. It’s not much to look at, but it’s where all the magic happens with the shipping schedules. We deal with drivers from all over the state. Kangeyam is a busy spot for transit, so we’re never really bored. It’s just the daily grind of moving goods from one place to another. We don’t have any fancy mission statements. We just try to get the trucks loaded on time so everyone can go home. It is a plain and simple way to run a warehouse.
