Budokai Karate Training School

We've been here at L-140 in Periyar Nagar for a good while now. The building is just a regular spot where people come to learn karate. It gets pretty warm in Erode, so the windows stay open most of the time to let a breeze in. You can hear the shouting from the street when class is going on. We have the mats laid out on the floor and some gear stored in the corners. Most of the kids come by after their regular school finishes for the day. Their parents usually wait outside on their scooters or chat near the entrance. It is a simple setup really. No fancy gym equipment, just enough space to move around and practice the kicks and punches. Sometimes the floor gets a bit dusty but we sweep it every evening before the last group leaves. There is a small desk near the door where we keep the registers and some spare uniforms. People from around the neighborhood know us by the sound of the counts coming from inside. It isn’t a huge place but it works for what we do. The lighting is okay, though we had to replace a few bulbs last week. We don't do much besides the daily training sessions. It's just a place to sweat and learn some discipline. We see the same faces every week and everyone just gets on with their work on the mats. It’s a bit noisy when the classes are full and everyone is moving together.
