Bharath Textiles Mills

If you walk down Netaji Road, you’ll find us at number 244. Bharath Textiles Mills has been part of this street for quite some time. The building itself has seen better days, but it’s sturdy and it holds everything we need. Inside, there is usually a bit of dust in the air from all the fabric and thread moving around. It’s a busy place with a lot of noise from the street outside coming through the open doors. We have rolls of cloth stacked up against the walls and large tables for measuring everything out. It’s not the kind of place where you’ll find fancy furniture or quiet corners. We are mostly on our feet, moving from one pile of textiles to another. Netaji Road is always crowded, so there’s a constant stream of people and carts passing by the front. We know the tea seller just down the way pretty well. The work is physical and can be a bit tiring by the end of the shift, but that’s just how it goes here. We don't spend much time on fancy emails or meetings; we just deal with the material and the customers who come through the door at 244. It is a straightforward way to make a living, and we’ve gotten used to the rhythm of the machines and the street traffic over the years. We just keep our heads down and get the orders ready.
